Connect DoorDash to Bloom POS
Last updated November 4, 2026
Once DoorDash is connected, DoorDash orders arrive on the Delivery Partners screen in Bloom POS, your menu stays in sync, and sold-out dishes are switched off on DoorDash automatically. You connect each location yourself, in a few minutes, from the Bloom POS web portal.
Before you start
- You need to be a Bloom POS admin for the location.
- You need a DoorDash Merchant account with an authorized user role for the store: Business Admin, Parent Company Admin, Franchise Group Admin, Franchise Admin or Store Manager. Other roles can't connect a store.
- Set the location's opening hours in Bloom POS under Day Close → Business hours. DoorDash needs them with your menu, and the Connect button stays off until they are set.
- Check the menu under Menu Management → DoorDash: switch off dishes you don't want on DoorDash and set a DoorDash price where it differs from your in-house price.
- Already using another POS or tablet with DoorDash? Connecting Bloom POS replaces it. Your previous DoorDash integration for that store stops working once you activate Bloom POS, so cancel any service with your previous provider.
Step 1 — Open DoorDash in Bloom POS
- Sign in at app.bloompos.io as an admin.
- Go to Integrations → Delivery Partner Integrations → DoorDash.
- Each of your locations is listed with its DoorDash location ID. That ID links the location in Bloom POS to your DoorDash store.
Step 2 — Sign in with DoorDash
- On the location you want to connect, press Connect DoorDash store.
- DoorDash's sign-in page opens. Sign in with your DoorDash Merchant account (the authorized user from “Before you start”).
- DoorDash asks you to allow Bloom POS to see your business name and your stores' names, IDs and addresses. Review DoorDash's and Bloom POS's terms and privacy policy, then allow it. You return to Bloom POS automatically.
Step 3 — Pick your DoorDash store
- Bloom POS shows every store on your DoorDash account, with its name and address. Pick the one that matches this location.
- Stores that can't be connected are greyed out. These are DoorDash Drive stores, retail stores and some virtual brands.
- Don't see a store you expected? It may sit under a different DoorDash business. Ask DoorDash Merchant Support to combine your stores under one business, then press Connect DoorDash store again.
Step 4 — DoorDash imports your menu
- DoorDash pulls your menu and hours from Bloom POS and checks them. This usually takes a few minutes; press Check status to refresh.
- When the menu passes, the status reads Menu approved — review it and activate and a Preview the menu on DoorDash link appears. Open it and check dishes, prices and options.
- To change something, edit it in Menu Management and press Send the menu again (or Update menu on DoorDash).
Step 5 — Activate DoorDash orders
- Press Activate DoorDash orders. DoorDash finishes in a few minutes and the status reads Connected — DoorDash orders come to Bloom.
- New to DoorDash? Activating also switches your store on. If DoorDash can't switch it on (for example, bank details are missing), Bloom POS shows the reason — finish the setup in DoorDash Merchant Portal.
- DoorDash also emails your authorized user at each step and shows progress in DoorDash Merchant Portal.
Not on DoorDash yet?
- On the location, press New to DoorDash? Create your store, fill in your business details and continue.
- DoorDash's sign-up opens with your details filled in. When you finish there, come back to Bloom POS — the new store shows up on the location and you continue from Step 4.
- Adding a second store to an existing DoorDash account isn't supported this way; add it in DoorDash Merchant Portal, then connect it from Step 2.
Day to day
- Confirm every order quickly. New DoorDash orders wait on Delivery Partners under “Needs confirmation”. DoorDash cancels orders that aren't confirmed within a few minutes. The kitchen ticket prints after you confirm.
- Mark ready when the food is packed — DoorDash tells the Dasher right away.
- Decline or cancel with a reason. For a sold-out dish, pick the dish so DoorDash can switch it off for you.
- Sold out? Switch the dish (or a spice option) off in Menu Management — DoorDash updates within seconds. Switch it back on the same way.
- Pause DoorDash (busy kitchen, closing early): on Delivery Partners press Pause orders for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour or until you turn it back on.
- Keep Delivery Partners open on at least one device during opening hours. If no device has it open for 10 minutes, Bloom POS turns DoorDash off so customers can't order when nobody can confirm, and turns it back on as soon as the screen is opened again. Admins can switch this off per location.
- Holidays: add closed days or special hours on the location's DoorDash card. Your menu is also re-sent to DoorDash every day.
- Promotions and tips: each order shows any promotion with your share and DoorDash's share, plus staff tips. Admins can download a CSV report for any date range from the DoorDash card.
If something goes wrong
- “This DoorDash login isn't a business admin or store manager” — sign in with an authorized user (see Before you start). You don't need to create a new DoorDash account.
- The sign-in expired — DoorDash sign-ins last one hour. Press Connect DoorDash store again.
- DoorDash couldn't use the menu — the card shows DoorDash's reason (usually missing hours, a blank menu or a dish without a name). Fix it in Bloom POS, then press Send the menu again.
- Onboarding stopped (duplicate location ID) — this location is already linked to a different DoorDash store. Contact DoorDash Merchant Support to confirm the right store, then start again.
- Self-delivery store — DoorDash needs to switch off Self Delivery for the store before it can connect. Contact DoorDash Merchant Support.
- Wrong store connected, new owner, or starting over — press Start again on the location and pick the correct store. The new connection replaces the old one.
- DoorDash paused your store — Delivery Partners shows “Paused by DoorDash” with DoorDash's reason. Contact DoorDash Merchant Support to reopen it.
